5 Civil War era bullets that were whittled in camp.  Soldiers sometimes had inordinate amounts of downtime between movements and drilling.  They occupied themselves the best they could and one of those ways was occasionally carving on lead bullets which were soft enough to give way to a sharp knife edge, but firm enough to retain their shape.
