21mm, Virginia 1-pc coat size button, dug in Richmond, VA.  Shank is missing, but retains traces of silver plating that could clean up nicer.  This is a rare and desirable style of Virginia button and considered by collectors to be the earliest type of the various Virginia state seal buttons!
