24mm, "Southern Confederacy" encircling a five pointed star on a lined field. This an exceptionally rare Confederate local Civil War Coat Button. It was manufactured early in war and is one of the very few of the true staff type buttons (with the third annular piece--a rim--holding the front and back together) made by the Confederacy. There is some rim repair to this nice dug button. It is one of the king pen's in the world of Confederate button collecting and would make a nice addition to a someone's collection.  Enjoy.
