Civil War Panel Plate, dug.  This militia plate is often attributed to "Mississippi" and/or Texas. While often called one or the other,  its militia usage was more widespread. Displayable as a Texas buckle in a collection, it has been popular through the years. There are no repairs and it is as it was found.
