25mm, early Patriotic 1pc "Ratttlesnake" Button. A rattlesnake with tail in mouth creates the edge surround,encircling 13 stars and 13 bars.  The button is damaged as shown in photographs. These are quite rare and controversy surrounds their dating as to whether they are of the Revolutionary War Era or the Early Federal Period.
