15mm, Infantry 2nd Regiment Pewter Button, circa 1808-1811. It is definitely nicer than the picture suggests.  It has a pleasing look, but the camera is magnifying imperfections.  Stressful situations can do the same thing in our lives...  had Bobby McFerrin known of relic collecting, he might have crafted his lyrics more like... buy a button and "be h-a-p-p-y"! This button was recovered at an early fort site in the South (Georgia or Tennessee; digger dug both).
