23mm, War of 1812 Navy, 1pc coat button, with "Wishart N. York" backmark. This is a great rarity.  The device is very similar to the War of 1812 U. S. Marine Corps hat insignia and there is speculation that this may have been designed for the Marine Corps, but there is no proof to date.
