Civil War Bullet in Wood.

From the fighting in the North Anna Battlefield area.  Fired in anger, it did not find its mark, but lodged in a pine tree instead.

It is just over 6 inches long and is a 1 and a half by 1 inch thick piece of Virginia heart pine.  This is from a long time relic hunter and these are seldom found now days.  He was actively digging in the 1960's and 70's this has been out of the ground for 50 years or more, now.

It is perfectly encapsulated and as nice as they can be found.  This is such a fine looking piece that I am tempted to hold on to it.

It is the perfect size for an office desk or display.
